To create workflows based on a date, or the anniversary of a date, the subscriber list you're sending to must have a custom date field.

If you select a list for a date-based workflow that doesn't have any custom date fields you will be prompted to create one on the spot. This is done just by entering a name for the new custom field, as shown here:

The date field is now added to your list without you having the leave the page, and you can continue setting up for date-based workflow.
